Key Responsibilities:

● End-to-End QA Ownership:

○ Design, develop, and maintain complex test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web, mobile (iOS, Android), and desktop (Windows, macOS) applications.

○ Implement and manage comprehensive API testing strategies, ensuring

seamless integration between frontend applications and backend services.

○ Develop and execute automated and manual test cases to validate

application functionality, performance, security, and scalability.

● Automation Expertise:

○ Design and maintain test automation frameworks for web (Selenium,

Playwright), mobile (Appium), and desktop (Electron/Tauri) applications.

○ Create, enhance, and maintain automated test suites for regression, smoke,

and performance testing.

○ Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality

assurance.

● API Testing:

○ Design and execute complex API test scenarios using tools like Postman,

Insomnia, or direct HTTP client libraries (e.g., RestAssured, Python

Requests, or Rust HTTP Client).

○ Validate API response formats, status codes, and performance, ensuring API

reliability and security.

○ Implement API automation using test libraries or custom scripts (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Rust).

● Performance and Security Testing:

○ Conduct performance testing for web, mobile, and desktop applications using tools like JMeter, Locust, or K6.

○ Collaborate with the security team to perform security testing, including

vulnerability assessment and penetration testing of APIs and applications.

● Cross-Platform Testing:

○ Test application functionality and user interfaces across different browsers

(Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and operating systems (Windows, macOS,

Linux).

○ Ensure mobile applications are tested on a wide range of devices (iOS and

Android) using device farms and emulators.

○ Validate desktop applications across different OS versions and configurations.

● Collaboration and Reporting:

○ Work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to

understand feature requirements and user stories.

○ Identify, document, and prioritize defects using tools like JIRA or Azure

DevOps.

○ Prepare detailed QA reports, covering test coverage, defect status, and

quality metrics.

Required Skills:

● Technical Proficiency:

○ Strong understanding of software testing principles, test case design, and test execution.

○ Proficiency in test automation for web (Selenium, Playwright), mobile

(Appium).

○ In-depth experience with API testing using tools like Postman, Insomnia, and scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, Rust).

○ Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, K6, Locust) and security

testing (OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite).

○ Proficiency in working with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines

(Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

● Analytical Skills:

○ Ability to analyze complex application workflows and identify critical paths for

testing.

○ Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying root causes of

defects.

● Communication Skills:

○ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

○ Ability to document and explain complex technical issues clearly.

● Agile Testing:

○ Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, participating in sprint

planning, and managing test execution in parallel with development.

● Cross-Platform Experience:

○ Proven experience testing applications on multiple platforms (Web, Mobile,Desktop).

○ Experience in using device farms (e.g., BrowserStack, AWS Device Farm) for

multi-device testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

● Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for scalable test environments.

● Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes for testing in isolated

environments.

● ISTQB Certification or equivalent is a plus.

● Experience with test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr) for comprehensive test planning.
