Job Summary:​

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join the team and contribute to 

the design, implementation, and management of our network infrastructure, security 

systems, and AWS/Oracle Cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong 

background in network engineering, with expertise in Cisco routers, switches, F5 

Load Balancers, Firewalls like Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, and AWS/Oracle Cloud. 

As a Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, 

performance, and availability of the network environment and AWS/Oracle Cloud 

services.​

Responsibilities: 

 

∙Design/Manage Network Solutions for cloud environment like VPC, Subnets, 

routers, gateways 

∙Design/Manage Access control, Security, Firewall solutions like F5 Big IP 

stacks 

∙Knowledge on network load balancers 

∙Manage SSL Certificates 

∙Manage Direct connect/Site-to-site VPN tunnels 

∙Monitor Network Traffic utilization 

∙Configure and maintain firewall policies, rules, and access controls on Fortinet 

and Palo Alto Networks firewalls. 

∙Design, deploy, and manage network connectivity to AWS Cloud services, 

including VPCs, subnets, VPNs, and Direct Connect. 

∙Implement and enforce network security best practices in the AWS Cloud 

environment, including security groups, NACLs, and AWS WAF. 

∙Monitor network traffic, performance, and security incidents using network 

monitoring tools, SIEM systems, and AWS CloudWatch. 

∙Investigate and resolve complex network and security issues, working closely 

with cross-functional teams and vendors as necessary. 

∙Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify 

and mitigate network and application security vulnerabilities. 

∙Collaborate with the IT team to define network and security requirements for 

new projects and initiatives and ensure their successful implementation. 

∙Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best 

practices in network engineering, security, and AWS Cloud services. 

∙Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers and 

support staff. 

∙Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures. 

∙Collaborate with vendors and service providers to evaluate and implement 

network and security solutions. 

∙ensure optimal traffic distribution and high availability of applications and 

services. 

∙Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support and network 

emergencies. 

 

 

 

∙Ensure the cloud network is responsive to user demands 

∙Scaling cloud services to serve growing businesses 

∙Troubleshooting issues which arise 

∙Liaising with business owners and/or stakeholders to determine growth plans 

∙Monitoring usage of cloud network

Requirements:​

 

∙Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related 

field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, AWS Certified Solutions 

Architect) will be a plus. 

∙Proven experience of 5+ years as a Network Engineer, with expertise in Cisco 

routers, switches, F5 Load Balancers, Firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto 

Networks), and AWS Cloud services. 

∙Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL/TLS) and 

network architecture principles. 

∙Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches, including 

configuration, routing protocols, VLANs, and ACLs. 

∙Extensive hands-on experience with F5 Load Balancers (BIG-IP platform) and 

configuration of virtual servers, pools, and iRules. 

∙In-depth knowledge of Fortinet firewalls, including policy configuration, high 

availability (HA), and VPN setup. 

∙Familiarity with Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including policy configuration, 

application-based security, and threat prevention features. 

∙Experience in designing, deploying, and managing network connectivity to 

AWS Cloud services, including VPCs, subnets, VPNs, and Direct Connect. 

∙Solid understanding of network security best practices and technologies, 

including firewall policies, VPNs, IPS, DLP, SIEM systems, and AWS 

security services. 

∙Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services, such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, 

CloudWatch, and AWS security services (AWS WAF, AWS Security Hub). 

∙Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, 

Nagios, SolarWinds). 

∙Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and 

 

 

resolve complex network and security issues. 

∙Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with 

team members and stakeholders. 

∙Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced 

environment. 

∙Flexibility to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to network 

emergencies.
